AGENCY – Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre's new store – has thrown its doors open for business in bustling Braddon's Ori Building.
With its innovative business model this is a significant step for Craft ACT- celebrating four decades in Canberra and a new direction. As the name suggests AGENCY will be the facilitator between the maker and the consumer. AGENCY sells a service, experience and a lifestyle all in one go.
Showcasing works from highly acclaimed artist, designers and makers including Alison Jackson, Margaret Brown, Bev Hogg, Julie Ryder, Nicholas Fuller, Wayne Simon, Janet DeBoos + many more. Stockiest are carefully selected from across Australia with an emphasis on local products, a broad product offering and high-end one off pieces.
To accompany the official launch at 6pm on Thursday 1 October 2015, Craft ACT announces the AGENCY CO-LAB. CO-LAB is a new program initiated by AGENCY to provide opportunities for Craft ACT members through facilitating exciting cross-disciplinary collaborative projects that aim at promoting and enhancing professional practice.

AGENCY is committed to supporting local craft and design and has a strong reputation in bringing together its vast network of practicing artists together with commercial partners to create unique commissions. AGENCY has worked with artists and commercial partners to produce high-end gifts, public artwork and commercially used, handmade serving ware.
